Every good gig needs a tasty warm-up act…
Introducing: Fenders Unplugged – Greggs very first live music event in celebration of Geordie legend, Sam Fender.
Yep that’s right, we’re getting Newcastle rock and (sausage) roll ready with two packed afternoons of live music performances by local artists, ahead of his sold-out St James’ Park gigs.
Taking place across Friday 9th and Saturday 10th June, our Grainger Street shop in Newcastle will be transformed into the world’s very first Greggs inspired dive bar, featuring intimate performances and complementary food combos with a mouth-watering selection of sausage rolls, pizza, goujons, wedges and Sam’s personal favourite, the Sausage, Bean & Cheese Melt. All washed down with a choice of drinks including Sam’s favourite - Newcastle Brown Ale.
Local talent taking to the stage for the intimate acoustic sets includes hip-hop artist Kay Greyson, lo-fi punk-pop artist Bugman, four-piece band The Peevie Wonders, indie pop star Cortney Dixon and Newcastle's DIY music star Chintzy Stetson.
Fenders Unplugged is set to be the ultimate pre-gig experience.
